Frequently asked questions
Which sizes can I download?
Up to five: Full HD 1280×720, Standard 640×480, High 480×360, Medium 320×180 and Small 120×90. Some older or low-resolution videos have no Full HD thumbnail; those sizes are marked as not available.
Does it work with YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Paste a youtube.com/shorts/ link and the tool finds the video ID automatically.
Can I download the video itself?
No. This tool only saves the thumbnail image. Downloading videos is restricted by YouTube's terms of service.
Can I use the thumbnail anywhere?
Thumbnails belong to the video's creator. Use them for your own channel, for reference and commentary, or with the creator's permission.
