How to use the pdf merge

  1. Step 1

    Add PDF files

Drop two or more PDFs onto the page or click to browse. Each file shows its page count and size as soon as it has been read.

  2. Step 2

    Put them in order

Drag a file up or down, or use the arrow buttons. The merged document follows the list from top to bottom.

  3. Step 3

    Merge and download

Click Merge PDF. All pages are copied into one new document, which downloads as merged.pdf.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. The files are read and combined inside your browser with the open-source pdf-lib library. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is kept after you close the page.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Not yet. Encrypted PDFs are detected and skipped with a clear message. Remove the password first (for example by opening the file and saving a copy without a password), then add it again.

Does merging change the quality of my pages?

No. Pages are copied as they are, including vector text, images and fonts. The tool does not re-render or recompress pages.

Are bookmarks, form fields and attachments kept?

Page content and links inside a page are kept. Document-level features such as bookmarks (outlines), attachments and interactive form fields are not reliably carried over to the merged file.

How large a file can I merge?

It depends on your device's memory, not on a server. A few hundred pages merge in seconds on a typical laptop; very large scanned documents take longer.
